“ For those keeping score of the Astro-men’s ever-evolving lineup, the members included on this record include mainstays Coco the Electronic Monkey Wizard and Birdstuff and solo efforts from Trace Reading, Blazar, Q-Beam and the Brannock Device. Since the record is comprised of songs recorded solo or in pairs, they often lack the full force of typical Man or Astro-Man? songs. Songs tend to meander a bit, giving them, to varying degrees, the feel of being tripped-out slow-dub house music or echoing, spinning, fuzzy-screen dream sequences from vintage sci-fi flicks. Reverb-drenched guitars are essentially absent for the majority of the disc, leaving the music to be composed (presumably on computers) of various sound effects, always-interesting film samples, assorted keyboards, and other gizmos.

“ Xenosmilus Hodsonae, il gatto - panda: questo animale fa parte delle tigri dai denti a sciabola, ma alcune sue caratteristiche lo rendono unico. Per prima cosa, sembra contenere tratti di entrambi i gruppi di tigri dai denti a sciabola: possiede zanne piuttosto corte e robuste, ma il corpo è decisamente massiccio, così come le zampe. Le caratteristiche bizzarre di questa specie non finiscono qui: al contrario degli altri felidi, sembra che Xenosmilus fosse plantigrado, come gli orsi; l’andatura dell’animale, quindi, doveva essere abbastanza goffa se rapportata a quella dei suoi parenti. L’ultima stranezza di questa “tigre” riguarda la zampa anteriore: essa è dotata di un vero e proprio pollice, quasi opponibile, dotato di un grande artiglio. Per queste ragioni, alcuni studiosi lo hanno soprannominato “gatto - panda.”
